BIG PINEY - This coming Monday, May 17, the Angel Flight Network will be flying heroes to Cheyenne to join up with the other 100 heroes for their Honor Flight to Washington DC.
Schools and school districts, as well as local newspapers, have been contacted to cover the event. Because the flights are departing so early in the day, schools have indicated they may be unable to bus transport kids to the heroes’ farewell ceremony. Some schools will be sending home notes and suggesting to parents to bring their kids on their own to the event.
Hero Robert Linn, with his son and guardian John Linn, will depart from the Big Piney Airport between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
Heroes Glenn Tucker, Donald Davis, and Frank Morrison will depart from Rock Springs Airport between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
Heroes Merle Hush, Elizabeth Leigh, Joe Micheli, Ralph Stahley, and Leonard Wold will depart from the Evanston Airport between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
The public is encouraged to attend the plane departures and help these heroes have an unforgettable start for their exciting, exhilarating and remarkable adventure.
