Strong thunderstorms passing across southeastern Wyoming Tuesday afternoon (May 18) spawned several tornadoes and caused flash-flooding. The National Weather Service issued several tornado warnings. One tornado was reported 13 miles south of Cheyenne. Another was reported 5 miles west of Pine Bluffs. There are unconfirmed reports of at least 4 additional tornados spotted in Wyoming. There were no reports of injuries.

The Pinedale area experienced a lot of lightning from afternoon thunderstorms on Tuesday, with one strike causing a fire in a haystack near Cora, north of Pinedale.
