PINEDALE - In 1975 an earthquake in Yellowstone shook some sense into Rebecca Woods. Carrying only the map she was given at the gate, she promised herself if she ever got out alive she would learn how to read maps and compasses. Come meet the author of Walking the Winds and celebrate the re-release Beyond the Tetons: A Guide to Hiking and Exploring the Snake, Wyoming, Hoback and Salt River Ranges at the Sublette County Library, 155 S. Tyler Ave on Thursday, June 3rd at 7 pm. Books will be available for purchase that evening.

"The areas covered in this book feature spectacular backcountry, "said Woods. "Some of my favorites include the Shoal Creek Wilderness Study Area and the Swift Creek in the Salt River Range".

The new edition Beyond the Tetons has been completely updated and includes: new trailhead locations, trails impacted by forest fires and landslides, and new trail regulations.
