Trib.com posted a story on Friday, June 25th, announcing the securing of the Sommers Grindstone Conservation Project, a compilation of four separate conservation easements on the Sommers Ranch (Albert Sommers and his sister Jonita Sommers) and the Grindstone Cattle Company (Maggie Miller) in Sublette County.

The total cost of the project is $19.7 million. $5 million is being contributed by Jonah Interagency Office (JIO) mitigation funds. $6 million is being contributed by Pinedale Anticline Project Office (PAPO) mitigation funds. Numerous other entities contributed to complete the funding for the project.
