Leading up to the Aug. 17 primary election, candidates in local Sublette County races will participate in a two-night candidates¹ forum next month. Candidates in Sublette County¹s biggest primary races have been invited to answer questions from the media and general public at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3and 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5. Both evenings¹ dialogues will air live on KPIN 101.1 FM and will later be available at www.pinedaleonline.com. Presented by the Pinedale Roundup, the Sublette Examiner, KPIN 101.1 FM and Pinedale Online, both nights will consist of a forum led by the Pinedale Roundup and Sublette Examiner, followed by questions submitted by the public. Bob Rule of KPIN will moderate both evenings. The Aug. 3 forum will be held in the Lovatt Room of the Sublette County Library in Pinedale; the location of the Aug. 5 forum will be determined at a later date. The candidates¹ forum will be divided into an evening with the county commissioners and sheriff candidates Aug. 3 in the library and a night with the Rural Health Care District (RHCD) Board and county attorney candidates Aug. 5. Casey Dean of the Pinedale Roundup and Trey Wilkinson of the Sublette Examiner will pose questions to the commissioner and sheriff candidates the first night; Derek Farr of the Sublette Examiner will join Dean to ask questions of the RHCD and county attorney candidates on Aug. 5. Following the press portion of both evenings, written questions submitted by the general public will be read to the candidates. Short questions may either be brought to the forums or sent to forum@pinedaleonline.com prior to or during the forums. Questions will be screened for pertinence to the candidates and will conclude at 8 p.m. For more information, contact Casey Dean at the Pinedale Roundup at 307-367-2123.
