by Sublette County Library
July 7, 2010
PINEDALE - Did you know that the Bridger-Teton National Forest is providing the 2010 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree? A 65 ft. tall tree from the State of Wyoming will grace the west front lawn of the U.S. Capitol in December. The people of Wyoming are being asked to make the 5,000 ornaments that will decorate the tree. The theme is "Wyoming: Forever West." The ornaments will be 9 to 12 inches tall and must be made to withstand 3 weeks of harsh winter weather. Learn more about the Capitol Christmas Tree 2010:capitolchristmastree2010.org.
