Driver killed in motorcycle vs elk accident

Wyoming Highway Patrol reports a Bliss, Idaho man was killed when his motorcycle collided with an elk on US 191 on Friday, July 2nd. The accident happened around 10:15PM about 25 miles north of Pinedale on US 191 in Sublette County.
According to the report, Marcus Corbeil, 38, was southbound riding his Harley-Davidson on US 191 traveling on dry roads with clear weather. He failed to see an elk that was standing within his travel lane and struck the elk. There were no skid marks prior to impact. After impact, Corbeil remained on the motorcycle and both he, the motorcycle and the elk came to rest on the northbound shoulder of US 191. Corbeil died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
