Ideas to create better energy tomorrow
As part of a series of Shell Dialogues on critical energy issues facing the oil and gas industry, Shell Oil Company will host a global webchat on Thursday, July 22 at 9 a.m. Mountain time. What are the ideas of today that will create better energy tomorrow?
What are the big ideas that will shape the future of tomorrow’s energy to meet the global energy demand? How can energy companies meet the demand for energy from cleaner sources and more efficient ways to harness and deliver energy?
These are topics which will be discussed at the next Shell Dialogues Team webchat. Called Big ideas for the future of energy: aspirations and realities, it will examine the thinking that has the potential to change the energy industry.
Which energy technologies will progress most within ten years? How could changing consumption habits shape the new energy future? And what can we do to encourage people to get new energy ideas off the ground?
Sergio Kapusta, Shell Chief Scientist, Materials, is hosting the chat. Joining him will be Nick Allen, Vice President, Downstream Management Consultancy and CO2, Russ Conser, Shell GameChanger, Martin Haigh from the Shell Scenarios team, Sally Gold, Head of Group and UK Social Investment and Simon Bishop from the Shell Foundation.
More details of the webchat are online here (http://www.shelldialogues.com/bigideas) along with a video that introduces some of the issues. There’s also information about Shell’s commitment to new energy ideas and funding young entrepreneurs.
