Big Game Carcass Disposal by Wyoming Game and Fish
August 20, 2010
PINEDALE - Big game hunters are reminded that it is unlawful to dump carcasses or other refuse on public lands. Hunters have two lawful options for big game carcass disposal in Sublette County. The first is to dump their carcasses at the landfill near Marbleton. This option is not very convenient to residents of northern Sublette County.
Beginning September 1, 2010, a second option becomes available when a dumpster will be made available at the Pinedale Transfer Station for carcass disposal. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department thanks the Sublette County Commission and Sublette County Waste Management for providing a workable solution to a big game carcass disposal problem and urges hunters to dispose of their big game carcasses responsibly.
