Candidates file for Sublette County School Board positions
School District #1 and #9

Monday, August 23 at 5:00PM was the filing deadline at the Sublette County Courthouse for those seeking seats on both the School District Number 1 and also the School District Number 9 school boards. And, the filings show that there will be contested races in all of the voting categories.
In School District Number 1, which includes the greater Pinedale area, four of the seven seats on the school board will be up for election in November, 2010. Two of these seats are geographically configured as AT LARGE seats, and six persons have filed for the two positions AT LARGE. They include:
Meghann Durbrow - At Large
Kelly Eaton - At Large
Bob McCarty - At Large
Mike McFarland - At Large
Doris Woodbury - At Large
Jamison Ziegler - At Large
There is one person being elected to the geographic area encompassed by the Pinedale 1 area, and two people have filed. They are:
Ana Cuprill - Pinedale 1
Sandra Sikorski - Pinedale 1
And, one person will be elcted to the geographic area encompassed by Rural East, and also in this case, two people have filed for this one seat:
Shawn Buchanan - Rural East
Robin Schamber - Rural East
School District Number 9 takes in the South County, and in this school district, there are no geographic areas like in School District Number 1, but there are separate races for two four year terms, and one two year term.
Filing for the four year terms are:
Bartie Bray - 4 year
John Fear - 4 year
James Gray - 4 year
Glade Jones - 4 year
Ray Pape - 4 year
Again, two of these five people will be elected.
Filing for the two year terms are:
Mack Rawhouser - 2 year
Sherri Redden - 2 year
and for the two year term, only one of these two persons will be elected in November.
The balloting for both school board contests will be in the November 2nd General Election.
