The Aug. 12 wildlife field tour and Aug. 13 meeting of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Anticline Working Group (PAWG) have been cancelled due to Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) Federal Register notice requirements. The field tour and meeting will be rescheduled for September or October.

The PAWG is tasked with providing balanced recommendations to the BLM on the development and implementation of monitoring plans, mitigation, and adaptive management decisions pertinent to oil and gas activities in the PAPA. It is also an important conduit for public concerns as well as outreach. Editor’s Note: Shelley Gregory with the BLM explained that Secretary of Interior Ken Salazar just signed the new Charter for the PAWG and now the BLM must advertise the charter for 30 days in the Federal Register before PAWG can meet. The new charter should be available online soon.
