Indiana State University Professor Rob Tolley gave a presentation at the Museum of the Mountain Man on Thursday (Sept. 16) talking about a collection of papers Rose and Bartley Skinner made available to historians related to Bartley’s great grandfather, Charles Anderson, with new insights into the battle at Gettysburg.
Rose and Bartley owned and operated Fort William guest ranch on Pole Creek for many years. Her husband, Bartley, passed away in 2004. Rose was Mayor of Pinedale for ten years.
After the talk, Rose was presented with a bouquet of red roses and the audience gave her a standing ovation.
