The Jackson Ranger District on the Bridger Teton National Forest has lifted the Emergency Closure Order for the Bull Fire area. The 4,422 acre fire located east of Hoback Junction in the Gros Ventre Wilderness was ignited after a lightning storm pushed through the area July 21st. For public safety, the fire closure area has been amended multiple times in correlation to active fire behavior. At this time, and with the emanate arrival of fall, fire managers see no need for future closures, however, should fire behavior increase in the area and jeopardize public safety, an additional closure may be temporarily necessary.

Visitors to the area are reminded to use caution when traveling in the vicinity of the fire.

Beware of the following hazards.
Rolling rocks and Logs
Falling snags and trees
Smoke maybe present in some areas as well as areas with open flames

Teton Interagency fire staff continue to patrol in the area of the fire and will apply tactics as needed and as identified in the fire management action plan developed for this incident.
