Republicans to pick candidates for County Attorney post

Jim Latta, Vice-chairman of the Sublette County Republican Party received notification from the Sublette County Commissioners on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 that they have accepted a letter of resignation from Lucky McMahon, Sublette County Prosecuting Attorney effective October 15, 2010.
In accordance with state law, Latta will convene a meeting of the Sublette County Republican Party’s Central Committee on Monday, October 18th at 5 p.m. in the Sublette County Commissioner’s chambers to select a slate of three qualified candidates to present to the Sublette County Commission at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. The successful candidate will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term, which is for a 2 ½ month period of time.
Anyone interested in being considered for the Sublette County Prosecuting Attorney position is encouraged to submit a letter of interest to Sublette County Party Vice Chairman Jim Latta by noon on Friday, October 15, 2010. Candidates must have membership in the Wyoming Bar Association. Letters may be mailed to P.O Box 69, Pinedale, WY 82941 or e-mailed to jlatta@wyoming.com
Prospective candidates are encouraged to attend the Republican Central Committee meeting on October 18. They should plan to address to committee for 3 minutes and provide proof of their membership in the Wyoming Bar Association.
