The Center for Biological Diversity has released its fall 2010 "Endangered Earth" in which it calls for creation of a new national recovery plan for wolves, and declares that
"the job of restoring wolves is far from finished."

CBD hopes that the new recovery plan "would provide
a much-needed roadmap for re-establishing wolf populations in suitable habitat in the Pacific Northwest, California, the Great Basin, the southern Rocky Mountains, the Great Plains and New England."
