Sublette & Lincoln County RAC meeting Nov. 29

KEMMERER – The Bridger-Teton Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) for Lincoln and Sublette Counties will hold its second meeting on Monday, November 29. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. and will be held at the Kemmerer Ranger Station, 308 US Hwy 189, in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
The Resource Advisory Committee is authorized under the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act. This law gives states and counties payments tied to the amount of national forest land in the county and other factors. Counties designate a portion of the funds to projects that would benefit the National Forest, as reviewed and recommended by the committee. The purpose of this meeting is to decide on procedures and a timeline for requesting and selecting RAC project proposals. The meeting is open to the public and people interested are invited to attend. Time will be allotted near the end of the meeting for public input.
