Accident claims Cora resident

Wyoming Highway Patrol reports that a one-vehicle accident claimed the life of Cora resident Ernest A. Muscatello, 81, on Friday, December 10th. The accident occurred at 9:56 a.m. at milepost 14.6 on WYO 352, 10.6 miles north of Cora in Sublette County. He was the only person and vehicle involved in the accident.
According to the report, Muscatello was driving a 2007 Dodge pickup and driving southbound on WYO 352, which was snow covered. There was a light snowfall at the time of the crash. Muscatello’s vehicle drifted of the right side of the roadway going into deep snow at which time Muscatello over steered back to the left in an attempt to bring the vehicle back onto the roadway. This maneuver caused the vehicle to spin counter clockwise as it went off the upper edge of a livestock overpass. The vehicle over turned 1½ times coming to rest on its top below the roadway at the entrance of the livestock overpass. Muscatello died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
