The Sublette County Commissioners are advertising openings on many local boards. This is an opportunity for anyone interested in becoming more involved in the decision-making process of topics in which they are interested, including local recreation, agriculture, fire, roads, water, and history.

Anyone interested in volunteering should write a Letter of Application to the Board. There is no application form. Make the letter in care of Mary Lankford, Sublette County Clerk, PO Box 250, Pinedale, WY 82941. Letters of Application may also be e-mailed to maryl@sublettewyo.com, or faxed to 307-367-6396. Applications can be submitted online at www.sublettewyo.com/forms.aspx and selecting "Board Application Form" (PDF).

Applications must be received by 5:00PM on Monday, January 3, 2011. The County Commissioners will make the appointments on Tuesday, January 4, 2011.

Below are Boards seeking new members:

Recreation Board: One, 5-year term

Big Piney-Marbleton Volunteer Fire Department Board: One, 3-year term

Certified Local Government (historic preservation): Three, 3-year terms

Ag. Center Committee: One, 3-year term

Upper Green River Water Basin Joint Powers Board: One, 3-year term

Big Piney-Marbleton Joint Powers Board: One, 3-year term

Class II Road Committee: One, 3-year term
