Pinedale Middle School Girls Swim Team Is Third in Home Invitational

The Pinedale Middle School girls’ swim team beat out Rawlins, Big Piney, and Riverton to take 3rd place in an invitational meet that was hosted at the PAC on Saturday, December 4th.
Jackson Hole won the meet, and Lander placed second.
Sonya Lagerski won the 100 breastroke, and remains undefeated in this event for the season.
Sophe Haase placed second in the 200 freestyle.
Other top finishers were Dani Blankenship, 3rd in the 100 breast; Talyn Hutta, 3rd in the 100 back, and 5th in the 50 free; Heidi Feck, 3rd in the 100 free, and 6th in the 50 free; and Sonya Lagerski, 5th in the 100 IM.
In the 50 butterfly, Pinedale’s Sophie Haase placed 5th, Lilly Murphy was 6th, and Courtney Harper was 7th. Sabrina Gay placed 8th in the 100 backstroke. The medley relay team of Talyn Hutta, Sonya Lagerski, Sophe Haase, and Heidi Feck took 1st.
All girls improved their times in at least one of the events they swam. The team will go to Kemmerer on Tuesday, then have their final conference meet on Saturday in Rock Springs.
