The contract completion date is Oct. 31.
Thirteen miles of westbound Interstate 80 between Elk Mountain and Walcott Junction will get five inches of deteriorating pavement removed and replaced with new asphalt under a $9.2 million contract awarded to Skanska USA of Cortez, Colo. A deteriorating 11-mile section of US 287 between Laramie and Tie Siding will get a new layer of pavement under a $3.9 million contract won by Simon Contractors and Subsidiaries of Cheyenne. The contract completion date is Oct. 31.
Nearly 3.5 miles of US 16 west of Burritt Avenue in Buffalo will have its deteriorating pavement milled off and replaced with new pavement under a $1.4 million contract awarded to Knife River of Cheyenne. The contract completion date is Oct. 31.
Chip sealing to preserve the pavement on nearly 17 miles of highways in Big Horn, Fremont, Hot Springs and Park counties will be completed under a $1.4 million contract won by Intermountain Slurry Seal of Watsonville, Calif. The work is scheduled to be done by Aug. 31.
