Dave Lankford, new Sheriff
At 9 a.m. Monday, the nine newly elected county officials were sworn into office by District Court Judge Marv Tyler. Each stood, held up their right hand and swore to honor the U.S. and Wyoming Constitutions as well as serve the people of Sublette County to the best of their ability. Above, the new sheriff, Dave Lankford, was sworn in by his wife, County Clerk Mary Lankford, and pinned with his new sheriff’s star. Each official was also presented with a copy of the U.S. and Wyoming Constitutions by newly sworn-in Commissioner Joel Bousman. All elected county officials will serve a four-year term and their seats will be up in 2014. Photo by Megan Rawlins, Pinedale Roundup.
