WLCI to host Executive Committee meeting via videoconference Jan. 12

The Wyoming Landscape Conservation Initiative (WLCI) Executive Committee will meet Wed., Jan. 12, at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) Headquarters in Cheyenne, Wyo., with videoconferencing to the regional WGFD offices in Casper, Pinedale, and Green River.
The meeting is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Executive Committee will review the Ruby Pipeline donation, the Great Northern Landscape Conservation Cooperative Partnership-Forum, and WLCI team and committee reports. The committee will also hear presentations on the Natural Resource Conservation Service sage-grouse initiative, mountain pine beetle data, and U.S. Geological Survey science presentations. The public is invited to attend at any of the following locations:

WLCI is a long-term, science-based effort to assess and enhance aquatic and terrestrial habitats at a landscape scale in southwest Wyoming, while facilitating responsible development of the region’s valuable energy resources. The WLCI Executive Committee is comprised of representatives from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM), U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Geological Survey, Wyoming Department of Agriculture, Wyoming Game & Fish Department, conservation districts, and county commissioners. Wyoming Game & Fish Department Director Steve Ferrell is currently serving as chairman of the committee. Sweetwater County Conservation District Chair Mary Thoman and BLM Wyoming State Director Don Simpson are serving respectively as first vice chair and second vice chair.
