BLM issues guidelines to field managers on Secretarial Order 3310
Public lands with wilderness characteristics are to be inventoried, described, and managed in accordance with new ‘Wild Lands’ policy

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) issued guidance today (Friday, Feb. 25) to its field managers describing how the agency will use its land use planning process to manage public lands with wilderness characteristics in accordance with Secretarial Order 3310, "Wild Lands" policy which was issued Interior Secretary Ken Salazar in December, 2010.
