Elevated ozone levels were reported on Monday evening, February 14, in the Boulder area. DEQ Air Quality Monitoring website showed 1 hour ozone level at 7:00PM were 106 PPB; 8-hour average at 10PM was 86 PPB.
One citizen complained to Pinedale Online of a strong irritating smell outside causing burning eyes and nose, and difficulty in breathing.

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) did not issue any ozone forecasts or advisories for the area for Monday. As of the time of this article, no advisories were received from DEQ for Tuesday.

Monday night, County Health Officer Dr. Tom Johnston recommended anyone with pulmonary or ocular conditions stay inside and avoid breathing outside air while irritating conditions existed outside. He said conditions may repeat in the afternoon hours on Tuesday if the weather remains calm and clear. He recommended anyone with concerns or planning on doing any significantly vigorous outside activity, plan their activities for the early morning hours and avoid outside air in the afternoon hours. "The treatment is avoidance," he said.
