Environmental attorneys representing environmental and animal rights groups sent a letter to Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer last week, taking him to task for his recent statements regarding wolf management.

Schweitzer has suggested that Montana would no longer cooperate with federal officials in terms of wolf management.

Earthjustice finds his statements "troubling" and noted they may "incite Montanans to violate the Endangered Species Act."
