Kathy, Sunny and Charlie Raper seeking sponsors for breast cancer snowmobile ride fundraiser in Jackson
March 9, 2011
Pinedale residents Kathy, Sunny and Charlie Raper are seeking sponsors for their participation in the 4th Annual Pink Ribbon Riders Wyoming Snow Run at Togwotee Lodge on Friday & Saturday, March 18 & 19, 2011. The Snow Run is an organized snowmobile ride and dinner banquet being held to raise funds to offer assistance to both men and women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Pink Ribbon Riders is a non-profit, nation-wide program that hosts several events throughout the year in several states.
"We are riding in honor of several friends that have had breast cancer," Kathy said. Kathy and Charlie are also doing it in honor of their daughter, Sunny, who battled non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma three years ago, and Kathy’s Mom, Roberta L. "Bert" Milton, who had breast cancer.
"We wanted to participate in this event since it is so close to home and wanted to ‘give back’ because of the support we received when Sunny had cancer in 2007," Kathy said.
Anyone wishing to sponsor Kathy, Sunny and Charlie needs to get their sponsorship information in by Thursday, March 17th. Sponsorships can be made online by going to http://www.pinkribbonriders.com/snow_wy.html. Select "Sponsor a Participant" and type in your full name.
Sponsors can also sign up on sponsor sheets that have been left at Bucky’s Outdoors in Pinedale, the Pinedale Town Hall, Office Outlet, and the Bank of Sublette County.
Donors can also mail in a check payable to Pink Ribbon Riders to: Kathy and Sunny Raper PO Box 687 PMB 90 Pinedale, WY 82941
