Wolf delisting settlement agreement reached

The Associated Press reports that environmental groups and the federal government have reached a settlement agreement that will allow wolves to be delisted in Montana and Idaho, but keep federal protection for wolves in the remainder of the West. A scientific panel would be created to review wolf recovery goals for a six-state region (Wyoming, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Montana and Idaho).
