United Press International (UPI) posted a story on Tuesday saying the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), an agency of the United Nations, says ozone loss over the arctic reached record levels this spring. WMO issued a release stating the arctic region has suffered about 40% ozone loss. The WMO said the destruction of ozone in the arctic stratosphere is linked to human activities.
