Winter Weather Advisory
3-6 inches snow in valley, 20-35 inches possible in the mountains

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Pinedale, Big Piney, LaBarge, Farson. Three to six inches new snow is expected by Friday afternoon. Periods of snow, heavy at times, will mix with rain in the afternoon. Southwest winds of 20 to 25 mph will cause some blowing and drifting snow. Visibility will be below a quarter mile at times with the heavier snow. Thunderstorm activity also may occur. Travel may become difficult with reduced visibility.
The National Weather Service has also issued a Winter Storm Warning for Wyoming Range, Wind River Mountains and Gros Ventre Mountain Ranges. 20-35 inches new snow possible by Friday.
SNOWMOBILERS: If forecasted snowfall arrives, the general avalanche hazard will be HIGH in the upper elevations of Western Wyoming and TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
