Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Sublette County recently received a $1,000 grant from EOG Resources.
"EOG has done a great thing for the community," stated Susan Anderson, Outreach and Development Coordinator of the Sublette County BBBS branch office. "This means that one more match can be supported for another year. In fact, one Little Brother, Jim, has been matched with his Big for a year and is starting to form a close friendship. Jim has gone from a shy boy to a confident and charismatic young person. They will continue their relationship with professional BBBS support for another year thanks to the donation from EOG
The BBBS mentoring program puts a strong emphasis on child safety and professional support so the costs that go into sustaining a match are roughly $1,000 per year. The matches meet on a consistent basis and the mentor provides his Little with impactful one-to-one attention and support that is only possible with the support of donors like EOG.
