On May 4, 2011, the Western Counties Alliance (WCA) sent a resolution opposing the re-inventory of wilderness land by U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. Their resolution calls for Congress to honor the 2003 Settlement Agreement and abandon the "wild lands" wilderness re-inventory. It was recently passed and signed by Utah's Governor Gary Herbert.
