Big Piney man killed in motorcycle collision with antelope

Wyoming Highway Patrol reports that Big Piney resident Darcy Q. Sprague, age 60, was involved in a collision with an antelope on Tuesday, June 21st around 4:00 PM at milepost 3.9 on WYO 235, 3.9 miles west of LaBarge in Sublette County. Sprague was driving a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet.
According to the report, Sprague was southbound on WYO 235 when an antelope entered the roadway ahead of him. Evidence indicates Sprague did not brake until just at impact with the antelope. After impact, the motorcycle went over onto its right side sliding down the roadway at which point Sprague was totally ejected from the motorcycle. Sprague was transported by ground ambulance to the Marbleton Clinic where he was later Life Flighted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He died at 9:00AM at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, June 22nd.
