Ever wonder about the historic markers on the side of the highway in Sublette County? As part of the Novel Destinations Summer Reading Program the Sublette County Library is partnering with the Museum of the Mountain Man and have put together a scavenger hunt so folks can get out and discover 20 sites of historical significance. Sign up begins on Saturday, June 25th at 155 S Tyler Ave in Pinedale. Staff will be available to hand out passports and answer your questions from Noon to 4 pm. During sign up a Sublette County map will be given to each family/group/individual.

A few items to note:
• Email us your photos taken at the sites and we’ll post them on our website!
Please allow 48 hours for your photos to appear on our website.

• Midway through the summer we will have a drawing for a $25 gas card. You are automatically eligible for the drawing; be sure to include your contact information upon sign up.

• There will be a Final Party on Thursday, July 28th at 5:30 pm at the Museum of the Mountain Man. Participants who have visited all 20 sites will qualify for the raffle for the grand prize – a Garmin GPS.

This scavenger hunt is the perfect activity for families, groups or just yourself as a way to get to travel through the footsteps of history in your own backyard—Sublette County!
