The Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel’s outdoor editor, Paul Smith, has written an interesting piece about the state’s elk population in light of the state’s growing wolf population. Wolves are the leading cause of mortality on elk in Wisconsin, according to Smith.
