BLM Operator Planning Meeting Aug. 8
by Bureau of Land Management
July 25, 2011
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Field Office (PFO) will host oil and gas operators at the annual planning meeting (APM) for air, water and socioeconomic topics on Monday, Aug. 8 at 9 a.m. in the PFO Rendezvous Room at 1625 W. Pine St., Pinedale, Wyoming.
Socioeconomic topics will include a summary of the development forecast and planned operations based on current commodities. An update of Sublette County Conservation District water monitoring work, the current number of operating water wells and water withdrawal volumes and an update on the draft interim plan for groundwater characterization will be given during the water portion. The air quality section will include an update by the U.S. Forest Service on an air monitoring station and a review of emissions inventory and reduction and operator contingency plans.
The meeting is open to the public who will have opportunities to comment. A complete agenda is available at http://www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/field_offices/Pinedale/anticline/airwatermtg.html
An APM is required by the 2008 Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement Record of Decision for the Pinedale Anticline Project Area. To more fully address topics of community interest, the PFO has subdivided the original APM into three annual meetings: one focused on development, one on wildlife and one on air, water and socioeconomics. This is the first APM for air, water and socioeconomics.
