Rocky Mountain Power has scheduled a planned power outage which will affect around 60 customers in the White Pine, Half Moon Lake, Skyline Road and Sylvan Bay areas on Tuesday, August 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
According to Margaret Oler, External Communications, Media Relations with Rocky Mountain Power, a pole in the area must be replaced due to damage caused by birds trying to nest there. The new pole will discourage birds from roosting there and a new nesting platform has been installed nearby for birds to use. Rocky Mountain Power placed calls to these 60 customers on Friday (August 26th) to inform them of this outage so they are able to prepare ahead of time.
