Heart Mountain Relocation Center museum opens near Casper

During World War II, hundreds of Japanese Americans were interned at the Heart Mountain Relocation Center near Casper. The Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation held a Grand Opening of its Interpretive Learning Center the weekend of August 19 — 21, 2011. Guest speakers were Tom Brokow, Sen. Daniel Inouye, and Sec. Norman Mineta and Sen. Alan Simpson
Wyoming wins $6 million in transportation grants

Wyoming won more than $6 million in federal transportation grants for projects including finishing a Grand Teton National Park bike pathway and building needed truck parking along Interstate 80.
