The Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) is proud to present New York comedy ensemble The Water Coolers live in concert Saturday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pinedale Auditorium.
Hailed as "…a breezy, satirical ‘Dilbert’-like musical revue that tickles the ears and funny bones" by the Associated Press and acclaimed by E! Entertainment Television and reviewers across the country, The Water Coolers dead-on observations are drawn from the real life experiences of the creators, cast and crew.
Founded in 2000 The Water Coolers are the leading professional musical comedy troupe. Based in New York City, The Water Coolers’ original songs and song parodies capture trends in the working world with wit and insight.
The Water Coolers celebrate – and skewer – work, life, and balancing the two. From pretending you understand what the IT guy is saying ("The IT Cowboy") to fending off aggressive salesparents ("Who Will Buy This Crap For My Kid's School") to the inflated inner dialogue of the cute guy in the office ("Male Office Hottie") The Water Coolers reveal the underpinnings of workplace life in hilarious and insightful songs and sketches performed by Broadway veterans.
Tickets prices for the Sept. 10 performance are $13 for adults and $7 for students (kids under the age of 5 are free). Tickets are on sale now at Rock Rabbit, Pony Express Photo, The Cowboy Shop, Office Outlets, Isabel Jewelry, The Big Piney Library and at the door the night of the performance ($2 extra).
The Water Coolers performance kicks off PFAC’s 2011-2012 season which will also feature Soul Street Dance Comapany (Sept. 23), pianist Alpin Hong (Oct. 14), On Ensemble (Jan. 20) and Sylvester & the Magic Pebble (Feb. 10). Season tickets ($50 adults / $28 students) will be available for purchase in the lobby at the Sept. 10 performance.
The Water Coolers live in Pinedale is presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council with support in part from the Wyoming Arts Council through funding from the Wyoming Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts which believes a great nation deserves great art, Sublette BOCES, SCSD #1, the Sublette County Recreation Board, the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation, Shell Rocky Mtn., EnCana, BP and QEP Resources.
