In Wyoming, you never know when you’re going to come over a hill on the highway and run into a cattle drive. In the fall, ranchers are moving cattle down on the Green River Drift and onto winter pastures. This cattle drive was on US 189 between Daniel and Big Piney, at the Cottonwood Creeks on Wednesday, October 12th.

Stopping for a snack Some of the cattle stop to munch on the grass along side the highway.	Moving along The cattle are moved calmly, yet steadily along.	Cowgirl
Hilly climb The cattle are driven along the highway to move between pastures.	Cowboy and cowdogs Cowdogs are a big help with rounding up the herd.	Flagger A truck is positioned behind and in front of the cattle drive to warn approaching motorists of the cattle drive on the road ahead.
