Horse Drive

Cowboys from the Box "R" Ranch moved 42 head of horses in a horse drive through Pinedale on Wednesday afternoon, October 5th. It was part of moving the horses from the ranch in the Upper Green to their winter pasture at the Fayette Ranch south of Pinedale. The Lozier Box "R" ranch is located north of Pinedale near Willow Lake at the base of the Wind River Mountains. They are a working cattle ranch that also operates as a guest ranch offering horseback riding, pack trips, cowboy camps, and authentic cattle roundup experiences during the summer season. The 18-mile horse drive is done twice a year, in the spring and the fall, and is the last of the livestock drives that goes down main street through Pinedale.
