The Pinedale Anticline Project Office (PAPO) will be using a fixed-wing aircraft to fertilize approximately 1,000 acres of sagebrush on the Mesa in the weeks leading up to the Nov. 15 winter stipulations for big game.

The sagebrush fertilization project in the Pinedale Anticline Project Area (PAPA) is intended to offset direct and indirect habitat losses on and adjacent to natural gas development sites in the PAPA by increasing sagebrush production, enhancing available winter forage and potentially increasing palatability and nutrient quality for big game and other wildlife.
