Historic Preservation with historic architect Kurt Dubbe
October 11, 2011
Main Street Pinedale and the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce will host a Community Conversation luncheon on Wednesday, October 26th. Special guest speaker will be Kurt Dubbe speaking on the topic of historic preservation. Dubbe is a licensed architect with Dubbe-Moulder Architects in Jackson, Wyoming. He has an educational and professional background in historic preservation. He currently serves as one of Wyoming's two Board of Advisor positions on the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He is also member of the Wyoming Review Board for National Register Nominations, advisory board for the Alliance for Historic Wyoming, advisory board for Wyoming Monuments and Markers, and actively working on numerous preservation-related projects in Wyoming through the State Historic Preservation Office on the Historic Architectural Assistance Fund and Wyoming Main Street. Locally, Dubbe has been helping consult about the Cowboy Bar building brands, the Sommers Ranch homestead project, and the nomination of the Green River Drift to the National Register of Historic Places.
Dubbe will speak about "Heritage and Cultural Tourism", the basics of the nomination process for listing on the National Register of Historic Places, utilizing historic rehabilitation tax credits, and state and local resources. This will be a great overview for anyone interested in the historic renovation process.
Free lunch. Sublette County Library in Pinedale, Lovatt Room, Noon. Please RSVP. For more information, or to RSVP, call the Chamber at 307-367-2242.
