Holiday events at Sublette County Libraries

With the holiday season rapidly approaching look to the Sublette County Libraries to help. Although we can’t help you chose the perfect gift, we can help make your season easier and more memorable with hundreds of holiday craft idea books, cookbooks, movies and music available at both locations - Pinedale (155 S Tyler Ave) and Big Piney (106 Fish Street) along with lots of fun-filled activities. HOLIDAY EVENTS AT THE PINEDALE LIBRARY: Friday & Saturday, December 9 & 10: Pictures with Santa 10 am - 5 pm on Friday, December 9th and Saturday, December 10th. An annual tradition - kids aged 0-98 are invited to sit on Santa’s lap.
Saturday, December 10: Holiday Book Sale 10 am - 5 pm on Saturday, December 10th. Make a dent in your Christmas shopping on Saturday, December 10th and take advantage of free gift wrapping. All proceeds from the sale benefit the Bondurant Library. Donate your gift quality books now until Friday, December 9th.
Saturday, December 10: Annual Kids Christmas Party Following the Town Parade Saturday, December 10th. A community event with crafts and refreshments for kids and their families. This is a festive holiday favorite on a cold winter’s night.
Monday, December 19: Holiday Movie Marathon From 10 am to 5 pm on Monday, December 19th. Parents can finish errands while the kids enjoy holiday movies. Refreshments will be served. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. HOLIDAY EVENTS AT THE BIG PINEY LIBRARY: Saturday, December 3: Three Painters and a Potter Reception From 4:30 – 6:30 pm. Participating artists are local favorites Debbie Despain, Charmian McLellan, Kay Meeks and Ruth Rawhouser. Monday, December 5: A New Look at Big Piney & Marbleton Book Signing Starting at 6 pm on Monday, December 5th. Join local author and historian Ann Chambers Nobel for a glimpse of the history behind these two communities. Saturday, December 10th: Community Christmas Cookie Exchange From 2 – 4 pm on Saturday, December 10th Shake out that apron, dust off that rolling pin and get in the holiday spirit. Bring two dozen cookies and extra container to the exchange. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, December 13-15: Pictures with Santa From 10:30 am to 3:30 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Santa will be in Big Piney visiting with his favorite little ones during this annual stop.
