BLM plans burn of Hoback slash piles

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Field Office (PFO) plans to burn approximately 10 slash piles near the Hoback Ranches Subdivision beginning Monday, Dec. 5, if favorable weather and fuel conditions permit.
The slash piles were created by the BLM during construction of a fuel break to protect the Hoback Ranches Subdivision from wildfire and consist mainly of Subalpine Fir and Lodgepole Pine.
The Hoback Ranches Subdivision is located approximately 28 miles north of Pinedale, Wyo. and 49 miles south of Jackson, Wyo. off of State Highway 191.
