On Wednesday, December 7th Sublette County Emergency Management coordinator Jim Mitchell, Kendall Valley Fire Chief and County Fire Investigator Joe Sampson and Sublette County Fire Warden T.J. Hunt, were given a tour of the Falcon Compressor Station by Enterprise Products Manager James Huckaby. The purpose of the tour was to enter the site and do a walkthrough of the facility in order to assess damage. Future County emergency resource concerns were discussed about the pending incident investigation and any rehab or demolition to this site. Overall management of the incident was discussed and a thorough after action review will be conducted in the near future. Enterprise officials were very pleased with the response from all agencies of Sublette County including Pinedale Volunteer Fire Department, Big Piney/Marbleton Volunteer Fire Department, Boulder Volunteer Fire Department, Sublette County EMS and the assistance of the Farson Volunteer Fire Department. Both the Kendall Valley Volunteer Fire Department and the Daniel Volunteer Fire Department were put on alert during this incident. Regional Emergency Response Team #4 out of Rock Springs, the Wyoming State Fire Marshalls Office and the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security were also notified.
Great thanks go out to all of these volunteers and professionals who responded to make Sublette County a safer place.
