Pinedale Nordic Ski Grooming Report, December 29
December 29, 2011
1 to 2" of new snow, very gusty winds, and snow flurries making for low visibility at times.
All trails recently groomed, but snow coverage is thinner than ever due to warm days and snow settling. Use extreme caution. Classic tracks in where possible on Old Road Trail, Lower Surveyor, Surveyor, Tree Loop, Moose Ridge, Flatline and Kelly Park. The road has been plowed to White Pine.
Dogs permitted only on the Old Road Trail, Lower Surveyor Park and Kelly Park trails. Skiers are asked to please pick up after your dog’s droppings.
County crews keep Skyline Drive road plowed to the White Pine Parking lot. No services at the lodge (White Pine is closed for the season), however there is a new Nordic Warming Hut with a vaulted restroom at the trailhead near the White Pine parking lot.
The CCC Pond trails are groomed on the paved bike/walking path.
With more snow, the Pinedale golf course will be opened for cross-country skiing and will be groomed. Watch for announcements for the opening for that area.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
