Pinedale Nordic Ski Grooming Report, December 31
December 31, 2011
Kelly Park, Lower Surveyor, Surveyor, Tree Loop, Moose Ridge, Flatline all freshly groomed this morning.
No new snow, however what we have has been redistributed by the wind on the track, so there is more coverage. Temperature is around 27 degrees, pretty warm, however there is a wind, which is expected to pick up over the day. Bring your wind breaker.
Dogs permitted only on the Old Road Trail, Lower Surveyor Park and Kelly Park trails. Skiers are asked to please pick up after your dog’s droppings.
County crews keep Skyline Drive road plowed to the White Pine Parking lot. No services at the lodge (White Pine is closed for the season), however there is a new Nordic Warming Hut with a vaulted restroom at the trailhead near the White Pine parking lot.
The CCC Pond trails are groomed on the paved bike/walking path.
With more snow, the Pinedale golf course will be opened for cross-country skiing and will be groomed. Watch for announcements for the opening for that area.
