What a difference two days makes!
"It was January 6, 2011 when Fremont Lake froze clear last winter. In one of our snowier recent winters, it was quite an event to get clear ice with so much snow. Well, 2012 is a dry winter, and the lake is freezing clear again. The ice has nearly closed all open water, but is still very thin--not nearly thick enough to venture out upon. But, another cold night or two, and let the ice skating begin." – Dave Bell
