No injuries at Ultra Petroleum fire in Jonah Field

At 1:20PM this afternoon (Wednesday, January 18, 2012) the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) received a call reporting a fire at an Ultra Petroleum facility in the Jonah Field. The fire was located in the area of the Gobbler Knob compressor station / intersection of Paradise and the Mesa roads. Big Piney and Boulder fire responded to the scene along with SCSO deputies and EMS. A methanol pod, a metal structure with four large electric motors, was on fire at Riverside unit 22 operated by 212 Resources. The fire has been extinguished and responding units are currently wrapping up and preparing to demobilize.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. ______________________________________________
1/19/12 Update - Pinedale Online Editor’s Note: The original caller for this report told the Sheriff's Office the fire was in the Jonah Field. This fire was at a facility owned by 212 Resources, not an Ultra Petroleum operated facility, and it was on the Pinedale Anticline gas field, north of Hwy 351, not in the Jonah Field.
