Nominees for Wyoming’s top Scholar-Athlete announced

The Wyoming Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame has received 72 scholar-athlete nominations from 32 high schools from which the state’s top football Scholar-Athlete will be determined.

Two senior-athletes from each of the five Wyoming high school classifications and the University of Wyoming will be honored at the chapter's 18th annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet to be held on Saturday, March 17, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Laramie, Wyoming.

Finalists for the honor will be announced later this month. All of the finalists will receive commemorative plaques and $1,200 scholarships from the chapter and the state’s top scholar-athlete, who will be announced at the event, will receive an additional scholarship. Nine state residents will also be recognized during the banquet for their respective contributions to fandom, contributions to amateur football, and achievement in coaching and officiating.
